I'm just wondering...(edited to add something..)

Hypothetically speaking here, okay? Not saying this is the truth or not, but let's just say maybe it is? For the sake of conversation, of course.

Say you go to church with good friends of yours. People you love and think highly of.

Say the wife was home under the weather and the husband came without her.

Say the kids all went to Children's Church.

Say you and your hubby were at one end of the row and the guy was at the other end of the row because you had all the kids between you before they left. So, that might would put around 4-5 chairs between you and him.

Say you were enjoying the preacher when something catches your attention out of the corner of your eye.

Say you look over and the guy...the husband of your friend....was dozing. And not being discreet about it. Maybe he was leaning forward some and jerking back. A lot.

Say you felt compelled to help a brother out but didn't know how to without drawing even more attention to the fact that he was about to fall out of his chair in the next few minutes.

Are you with me so far?

Answer me this, if you can.

Knowing what the situation hypothetically is.....

Was it wrong to take a picture of him sleeping with your camera phone?

Edited to add:

I hear the plea for the hypothetical picture, but there's a problem, you see:

1. I can't do that to my friend. She's a good woman and I let her down by not throwing something at the man to wake him up. I had this fear that if I were to do so, he would holler or something else like that. During the sermon. Not a good thing.

2. Being super ninja stealth is second nature...except I was holding the phone upside down and you would all have to stand on your heads to see the full impact.

Again, this is all hypothetically speaking.................

Life Moments.....

So, I talk on a popular messenger with Carla all the time. She lives less than five minutes away, but we talk more on IM (instant messenger) than we do on the phone. We're just weird that way, I guess.

I got a good laugh out of our conversation today and just felt deep down I needed to share it just to show you how boring my life can be at moments. After receiving permission from Miss C, I did a little copy and paste. Just ignore any typos or grammatical errors because we really don't care.

Hope Tee: and i'm sitting here wondering what to eat because if fred isn't here...i don't want to cook a meat, complex carb, and green just for me.

Carla Girl: i'm just eating some white rice.

Carla Girl: i put a dab of butter on it...and some no salt

Carla Girl: its not bad.

Hope Tee: girl.i just can't eat rice like that

Hope Tee: it goes against my southern blood

Carla Girl: lol

Carla Girl: have a can of tuna

Hope Tee: without salad dressing and pasta?

Carla Girl: yeah, you can do it...

Carla Girl: lol

Carla Girl: bake a small potato in the microwave for 8 minutes

Hope Tee: hadn't thought of that

Hope Tee: have never cooked 'em in microwave either

Carla Girl: i believe its for 8 mins

Carla Girl: poke a fork in it to create some air holes

Hope Tee: will it explode if i don't? because that would be really cool if it did.

Carla Girl: omg, i don't know i've never tried it

Carla Girl: it wouldn't be any cool to have to clean it up

Hope Tee: that's why i got paige.

Carla Girl: i need to be out there mowing the front yard

Carla Girl: but i'm so lazy

Hope Tee: it's looking like rain...so really? There's no need because if you cut it then after the rain you'll have those weedy shooty up thingys and that would piss you off because you would have just cut it.

Carla Girl: yeah i guess so

Carla Girl: i just hate unkept grass

Carla Girl: its my pet peeve man

Hope Tee: it's not a favorite thing of mine either but that grass is gotta be dang tall for me to justify sweating

Carla Girl: i hear ya

Yeah, we're a laugh a minute, that Carla and I. Another moment to share, if you will. Last night my husband and I were discussing this season of Big Brother. If you have watched it, it's been enough to make your nerves seriously bad. It's down to a father-daughter team that really are dysfunctional.

So here went the conversation betwixt Fred and myself:

Fred: You know, I get the impression that Dick is the type of guy that would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed.

Miss Hope: Yeah, I think he would, too. But, I think he would slap you with it a few times for good measure before he handed it over.

And, we have one more moment to share........

Last night there was a commercial on television about losing weight. Paige is a beautiful gal that is curvaceous. She's not a stick like most her age and I just want her to see how feminine she is sometimes. (Sometimes, I'd rather her not, you know.)

Commercial: Take this drug and go from a size 12 to a size 2 !!!!!!

Me: That's crazy. A size 12 can be perfect for someone. Why be crazy about it? I'd kill to be a nice sized 12.

Paige: Me, too.

Pause a moment for new thought to enter Paige's head.

Paige: Yep, I sure would. Both hands around the throat.........

I laughed so hard because my child just comes up with stuff off the cuff sometimes that catches you off guard and can tickle you to no end.

Now, I'm off to get The Boy dressed for school and enjoy my time alone. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE school?

Fortune Telling

I forgot to post about this last week. So, let me get it done before I truly forget all about it. And it's too good to forget.

Fred, Vitt, Mak, and myself went to eat at a Japanese steak house last week. We wanted to do something special with the two of them since Paige was off doing her own special thing. It's a cool place that keeps Vitt totally enthralled with the "cooking in your face" deal. He is every Japanese chef's dream customer. He claps and yells and begs for them to "DO IT AGAIN! DO IT AGAIN!"

We always look forward to getting our fortune cookies at the end of the meal. Mine was so so and Makenna's wasn't all that snazzy either.

Then we read Fred and Vitt's. Fred's was kind of cool and I thought worth posting. It reads: This year your highest priority will be your family. How nice is that? Now, I've saved these tiny scraps of paper and will now be forwarding Fred's to his Commanding Officer so homey will know that the family comes first this year. NOT the Navy. Yeah, I don't think it'll go over that well, either.

Are you ready for Vitt's fortune? I almost had a heart attack when I read it. I immediately wanted to shred it, eat it, just DESTROY it. Then I remembered you, Internets, and knew I had to save it to share with you.

It says:

Now is the time to set your sights high and go for it.

See where the chest pains come in now? I can imagine at least 50 different scenarios that this can apply to and none of them lets us off with less than a visit to our local E.R.

Anyone out there know how to counteract a fortune?

A few thoughts....

Can you believe February is almost over? That's two months of the year already gone and nine months until I have to figure out where I'm going to put the Christmas tree this year. Because we rearranged both living rooms this past weekend.

My soul wasn't resting well the way it was. Seriously. I would sit and watch television and constantly look around the room thinking it just wasn't right. The only show I could watch with full concentration was Grey's Anatomy...which I lovingly refer to as O'Malley's Anatomy because Meredith so needed to stay and hang out with Denny. And please don't let Patrick Dempsey cry again. He's just not attractive when he does. Yuck. So he's sensitive. Whatever.

My wonderful husband catered to my crazy idea to change things around. He moved heavy furniture and mopped that white tile floor. I drafted my neighbor upstairs to come help me figure out where everything was going. She may be young, but the gal has really good taste. We are now happily able to focus on television because the room flows, people! It flows around you and just plain rocks.

Guess what doesn't work in a garbage disposal? A nickel. Mr. Plumber came this morning and, boy, was he unhappy about that nickel stuck in there. Instead of yanking it out and charging us for a new one, he fussed and cussed and finally got it out. You should see it. It's literally bent in half. Imagine what the disposal could do to a finger. ~shudder~ We will be having a family meeting tonight to discuss what NOT to keep around the sink area. Next time we might not be so lucky.

I'm getting my hair done today. Because it's red. And I'm not a redhead. No offense to you red's out there. I've just always been blonde and it's not working. My stylist decided to do something different and put a golden brown on my roots...just for kicks. And I keep an open mind. I don't want to be one of those gals stuck with a hair-do from the 80's*. It was fine at the salon. Then I came home and washed it the next day. It came out red. Yucky red. Apparently the water on this base is toxic to a degree. You can't drink it. You can't cook with it. And now I guess you can't get a brown hair color without it turning to a disgusting shade of red. I've not hated my hair in a very long time, but now I do. I can't keep this hate bottled up for so long before I explode, so I'll just head on to the salon and get this issue nipped in the bud.

Ya'll have a good day out there in Internet Land. We're looking at 80 degrees with no humidity and bright bright sunshine. Go ahead...hate me.

*The 80's rocked with hairstyles. I may be 5'6" now, but I was a sweet 5'10" back then after I fixed my hair. Long live Aqua Net!!!!!
