So you know it's bad when you open up the dryer to remove some clothes you dried Saturday and the smell of wood smoke wafts up to meet your nose. Georgia Burning 2007 is tired out now. I'm ready for some fresh air and for smoke not to drift up my dryer vent into nice clean clothes.
Now I have to be a good home maker and promptly remove my clothes from the dryer so we don't all smell like wood smoke.
If I were back home in South Carolina? That wood smoke would indicate a bar-b-que. Shoot, I might have to worry about getting smothered in sauce walking around smelling like that!
By the way, Internets Peoples. They are so strapped for help fighting the forest fires around this area that they have convicts out helping. Not a bad idea, if you ask me. Community service is character building, I'm sure.

Just so y'all know, the last I heard, these fires burned nearly 80,000 acres of land. That is over 100 square miles. The smoke, down here where we are comes and goes depending on the wind direction. But, this fire is less than an hour drive away. It is bad, and we all are watching it intently. They have it about 65% contained. PLEASE pray for rain.
I'm praying for y'all down there. BE SAFE!!!
